Welcome to the Majestics Car Club of Regina
In 2012 The Majestics Car Club will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary as an organized Car Club
WHERE WERE YOU IN "62”
A dream of a rod and custom club was born by five local high school stu dents in 1961. Many hours of planning and working towards its introduction took place during those first months. What began as a dream became reality in 1962. A constitution of the club was drawn up stating requirements for membership. At this early stage it was decided that the club would be a quality club and it would be a club which would strive to improve the image of car club, to the community. Deciding on a name was the first major task for the new members. It was decided that a name no other club had, should be chosen.
After many ideas, The Majestics was brought up. After searching through hundreds of Car Craft, Rod & Custom and Hot Rod and many others, it was decided the name would be The Majestics Rod and Custom Club. With name like Majestics it was only natural that the first crest had a lion in the Ford roadster.
All of the events attended or sponsored in the past years had prepared us for our first car show. On Saturday, May 20th, 1967 the Majestics Rod and Custom Club held their first show in the Grain Show Building. The Centennial Car Show was when we set our basic policies for future shows. With the success of the shows, the Majestics Car Club, began making donations to local charities and is still the policy today.
Starting in 2011 the Majestics Car Club is proud to support KidSport™ in Saskatchewan.
KidSport™ is a children’s charity dedicated to assisting children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs. We believe in their mission that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. Sport teaches children valuable life lessons and skills including leadership, hard work, dedication and responsibility.
KidSport™ provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport. Sport not only builds better athletes, but better people for our community. Please take a moment and visit their web site to find out more about KidSport™ and to learn about what we can do to help kids get in the game.
